Don Carper, Secretary of the Board

Mr. Carper joined Advanced Brain Monitoring as a Vice President, Director and Corporate Secretary in 2004. Mr. Carper was a professor at the California State University, Sacramento College of Business from 1986 until his retirement in 2007 as Professor Emeritus.  At CSUS, he served as Chair of the Department of Organization Behavior and Environment. He is a neutral arbitrator and mediator serving on the American Arbitration Association Commercial Panel. He is an Associate with the California Center for Collaborative Policy and served on the Northern California Advisory Committee for the American Arbitration Association for several years. Between 1984 and 1986, Mr. Carper served as managing attorney for a Law Corporation practicing health and corporation law. Under grants from the US Department of State, Mr. Carper coordinated the establishment of two mediation centers in the Kaluga, Oblast in Russia. In addition, he worked on ADR programs and training of judges and lawyers in West Africa. He has created and participated in training programs for lawyers and judges from Russia, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, South Korea and China. He has published several textbooks, and teaching supplements for West's Educational Publishing emphasizing business and personal law. He served as a professor at the School of Business of the University of Pacific from 1979 through 1986 and Assistant Dean at the McGeorge School of Law from 1971 through 1977. He was a Visiting Professor of Law and Public Policy at the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, 2008-09.

Mr. Carper earned a JD from McGeorge School of Law and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Chico in Personnel and Industrial Relations. He is licensed to practice law in the State of California.
