Dr. Giby Raphael, PhDDirector of Product Development
Dr. Raphael is the Director of Product Development at Advanced Brain Monitoring. He has held positions both in industry and academia. He worked as a Project Leader at the Automotive Research Division of Johnson Controls, MI and as a Senior Software Engineer for Microwave Data Systems, NY, and Larsen & Toubro Ltd, India. Along with being the Director of Product Development at ABM, he holds a joint appointment at the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow.
Dr. Raphael received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California. He received his Bachelor of Technology degree from India and also holds Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, and Regulatory Science (partial), from the University of Southern California. Dr. Raphael’s doctoral research concentrated on developing controllers for voluntary movement (reach & grasp) with applications in humanoid robotics and reanimation of spinal cord injured patients. In addition, he holds degrees in Biblical Studies and is currently completing a Master of Arts in Global Leadership degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.
